Dr. Javier Fernández de Castro de León and his research: valuation of didactic methodologies for values formation (Learning to Love Program) and entrepreneurship formation (Entrepreneurship Methodologies 3e).
Dr. Fernandez de Castro, Research Secretary of the School of Pedagogy and Psychology for Universidad Panamericana, Aguascalientes Campus, worked on two research projects that seek not only to generate scientific knowledge, but also to guide decision-making to promote personal and social development. Information on these two studies conducted in the pedagogical-didactic field is shared below.
“Learning to Love” Program
The Learning to Love” Program for Integral Development “seeks to educate children, adolescents and young people from an integral perspective, focused on the education of their freedom and the strengthening of their character, through the formation of values, with emphasis on the education of citizenship for the construction of a democratic society. It is present in 23 countries and its resources are translated into 9 languages.
In 2022, Red Familia A.C., an association licensed to operate the PAaQ in Mexico, applied for an evaluation of operability, efficiency, effectiveness and relevance. The School developed a project in which 59 teachers, 489 parents and 9 students from different states of Mexico participated. The results allowed us to identify strengths and areas for enhancement of the program, which guided Red Familia A.C. in making decisions for improvement.
The School presented the study at the II International Congress Educare+Educere 2022, organized by the Ibero-American Teacher Training Network. A chapter of the book was also published.
Methodology 3e “Educate plus Entrepreneurship equals Success”
The 3e Methodology was designed by the National 3e Institute “Educate plus Entrepreneurship equals Success”, founded in 2009 in the city of Zacatecas, recipient of the National Entrepreneur Award in 2016 and recognized by the Ministry of Public Education in 2018 as one of the fourteen external providers authorized to offer its materials within the country’s public institutions.
In 2023, the Institute requested an assessment study on the effectiveness, efficiency and relevance of the methodology, based on a pilot test developed by the Aguascalientes Institute of Education in seven secondary schools. The results made it possible to validate the quality of the methodology, as well as to guide the development of improvement strategies.
This study will be presented at the International University Congress on Communication, Innovation, Research and Teaching (CUICIID 2024) and in a scientific article scheduled for publication in 2025 in a scientific journal indexed in Scopus.
These projects are proof of the conviction exhibited by the School of Pedagogy and Psychology at Universidad Panamericana, Aguascalientes Campus, to generate scientific knowledge and connect it with reality to achieve a real impact on individuals and the society at large.
