UP Attracts International Research Funding

Mexico City, September 27, 2024Universidad Panamericana has restated its commitment to excellence and innovation in research by achieving outstanding success in the 100K Strong North America program, consolidating its leadership in regional educational cooperation and research capacity building.

Transforming Research with Strategic Training

At the turn of this year, the General Vice-Rector Office for Research (VGI) implemented an ambitious training program focused on attracting and managing external funds, which is essential to expand our international impact.

This program was successfully completed in June, with a significant increase in our participation in international calls for proposals and paving the way for future success.

Successful 100K Strong North America Competition

During this intense training period, Universidad Panamericana, from its Aguascalientes and Mexico City campuses, shined bright in the 100K Strong North America competition.

The projects led by Dr. Julieta Domínguez-Soberanes and Dr. Salvador Rivas-Aceves, entitled Sustainability in the Dairy Processing: A Tri-National Student Faculty Abroad Program and Indigenous food systems for climate justice project, respectively, were selected from more than 50 international proposals to receive a $25,000 USD grant each.
